Product Image Preview vs Checkout mismatch | lack of .svg support

Feature Request

When creating a product and uploading a product image the preview is in 1:1 format but on the checkout page you show the image in 16:9. And somehow SVG is not supported but there is no error indicating that, it just doesn't persist apparently. Would be cool if it was supported and the 16:9 aspect ratio was somewhat indicated when creating the product.

    Image usage needs to be optimized.

    I want to control what the actual product icon (squared) is and which images should be shown on the checkout separately.

    Right now, even my squared product icon is automatically shown on the checkout page.
