Product ID in License Activation/Verification API

I want to be able to send or retrieve a product ID during license activation and verification. Currently, there is no way to distinguish which product a license key belongs to via the API, which allows a user to buy a cheaper product and activate it for a more expensive one. This is important for vendors selling multiple products to ensure proper entitlement enforcement.
