According to the documentation, it is possible to pass an instance_name when activating a license in order to track where a license is being used.
At the moment, however, there does not seem to be any way in the Creem.io dashboard to view this information.
(Based on Diskord comunication)
Problem
Currently, the dashboard only shows:
license key
customer owner
But it does not show where the license is actually activated (e.g. on which website or instance), even though this data is available via instance_name.
Use case
In practice, this creates a limitation:
A user purchases a plugin and activates it on a website (e.g.
example.com)The license may allow multiple activations (e.g. 20 sites)
Over time, there is no way to see:
which websites are using the license
how many activations are active per instance
where exactly each activation is bound
Other MoR / licensing systems (e.g. Lemon Squeezy, Polar.sh) provide this visibility directly in the dashboard under each license key for Merchant.
Expected behavior
It would be very useful if the dashboard provided a section under each license key showing:
list of active instances
instance_namevalue per activationoptionally: timestamp of activation and last validation
